Job Description

ERM is hiring an entry-level Consulting Associate for its Sustainability Advisory team based in Chicago, Boston, Manhattan, Washington DC, Cleveland, and Toronto. The role involves providing technical assistance on sustainability strategies and reporting for multinational clients, developing assessments on ESG issues, and supporting sustainability management systems. A bachelor's or master's degree in a related field is required, along with up to 2 years of relevant experience.
ERM is seeking an entry level Consulting Associate, Sustainability Advisory to join our Corporate Sustainability team in Chicago, Boston, Manhattan, Washington DC, Cleveland and Toronto . In this role, you will provide technical assistance on sustainability strategy and reporting projects for multi-national clients, while working across ERM’s North America Sustainability Strategy and Disclosure technical teams on related follow-on project tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Provide technical assistance on sustainability strategy and corporate sustainability reporting projects.
• Develop material topics assessments on environmental, social and governance issues for corporate clients.
• Support writing of corporate sustainability reports for clients in multiple sectors.
• Design and implement sustainability management systems and programs for corporate clients.
• Assist in developing practical and measurable sustainability programs and climate change programs (including vision, goals, reduction targets, metrics),
• Benchmark client performance against peers and support goal setting for sustainability metrics.
• Support multiple projects within scope / budget / schedule expectations and meet quality standards on project deliverables.
• Support ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to effectively manage and execute projects.
• Communicate with clients, ERM employees, and vendors.

REQUIREMENTS :
• Bachelor's or master's degree in environmental science, engineering, communications, literature, or related sustainability-focused program.
• Up to 2 years of related experience in a consulting, corporate, industrial, or government environment.
• Effective written / verbal communication and organization / analytical skills; experience recording / writing detailed technical data and reports a plus.
• Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision. (Some travel is required to support a wide array of projects and clients.)
• Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and metrics is a plus.
