About the position

Black & Veatch is seeking a Sustainability Consultant level professional to join our team of consultants, strategic advisors, technology specialists, and energy industry respected subject matter experts. The Consultant will support the development and execution of projects in the growing Sustainability Solutions business. This role is pivotal in driving the company's vision to be the leading sustainable consulting and EPC firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to support the Sustainability Solution group's business vision by contributing to projects with strategy, concepts, insights, analytical techniques, and implementation capabilities in the energy industry and adjacent sectors. In this position, the Consultant will be responsible for data analysis and the initial preparation of deliverables to contribute to the completion of engagements. The role requires working with limited to moderate supervision and may involve leading a small effort or project team. The Consultant will support the development, implementation, and management of the Sustainability Solutions business plan to grow the level of business and client base, as well as support the acquisition of new clients and engagements. Additionally, the Consultant will conduct quality assurance reviews on their own and others' work, actively participate in project teams, and contribute to the overall high quality of project deliverables. Responsibilities
• Support the development and execution of projects in the Sustainability Solutions business.

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience.

• 4+ years experience in a business/consulting environment.

• Master's degree preferred in energy-related policy, finance, or energy-adjacent focus.

• 4 years managing complex energy projects/initiatives.
,
• Knowledge and understanding of the energy industry and its business drivers.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).

• Certifications related to area of expertise, where applicable preferred.
