About The Role
- The Consultant, Environmental Remediation Engineer will conduct fieldwork, including soil, sediment, groundwater, and surface water sampling.
- Responsibilities include drilling oversight, soil logging, and the installation of monitoring wells.
- The role involves coordinating and directing drilling, surveying, and laboratory services.
- The candidate will provide construction oversight on environmental remediation projects and assist in the operation and maintenance of remediation systems.
- Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations is a key responsibility of this position.
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or geological engineering, hydrogeology, or a related environmental science discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required, with a preference for candidates who have 3 or more years of experience.
- The successful candidate should be willing to commit to multi-week, out-of-town field assignments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills are necessary, particularly in recording and writing detailed technical data and reports.
