Job Description
ERM is hiring a mid-level Consultant for Data Analytics & Visualization in a hybrid role, allowing flexible location. The candidate will develop data processing pipelines, manage data systems, and create visualizations for environmental projects across North America. Required qualifications include a BS/BA degree, 2+ years of experience in data management, proficiency in SQL and Excel, and skills in PowerBI or Tableau. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
ERM is seeking a Consultant, Data Analytics & Visualization for a hybrid position, location flexible. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and interested in a career involving analytical data management, database programming, or data science. As part of our team, you will work on large environmental projects across North America, and support ERM’s projects worldwide.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and implement data processing pipelines and workflows.
• Design and implement efficient data management systems and processes.
• Visualize data through charts, graphs and interactive dashboards.
• Develop and maintain data analytics tools and dashboards.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all platforms.
• Collaborate with project teams/clients to understand data needs and deliver insights.
• Work with ERM’s various Technical Communities to develop new data services.
• Interact and maintain successful relationships with clients, ERM employees, and subcontractors.
• Perform and manage multiple tasks within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
REQUIREMENTS:
• BS/BA degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of previous work experience in environmental data management with strong analytical/database skills, or clear aptitude for data science.
• Experience in data modeling and SQL is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Extensive experience using PowerBI and/or Tableau to develop online and desktop dashboards.
• Skilled at building client-ready visualizations and analytics.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Experience with the following applications is preferred: EarthSoft’s EQuIS™ (and all included modules).
• Programming skills in Python or R a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud computing a plus.
• Experience with the following applications is preferred: Microsoft Access, SQL Server, and SharePoint.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, or geologic visualization tools like EnviroInsite, LeapFrog, gINT or RockWorks is a plus.
