such as through our website. The team’s work is hugely varied, ranging from calculating the
savings achievable through energy efficiency improvements, modelling the impact of new

The team works individually on projects but also collaborates closely, both within the team and

that amplify our impact.
Working within the team, and more broadly at Energy Saving Trust, offers the opportunity to
apply your experience and skills while developing your knowledge and growing in a friendly,
supportive environment.
The role
As a consultant, you will support the development and delivery of data analysis and consultancy
projects on a wide range of energy topics for both internal teams and external clients. You
will manage and contribute to projects for clients, including central government, local

• Manage and contribute to the delivery of consultancy projects.
• Support innovative energy consultancy projects through high-quality research and data
analysis.
• Continuously review and improve methodologies, assumptions, and models related to energy
saving and cost data.
• Collaborate with team members to interpret problems and develop effective solutions.
• Develop expertise in energy efficiency, renewable energy, electric vehicles, and water
efficiency sectors.
• Manage projects throughout their lifecycle, liaising with clients and providing regular
updates.

Maths, gained through work experience, study, or other learning. A degree is not essential.
• Experience with programming languages (R and/or Python preferred).
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of domestic low carbon and energy efficiency measures.
• High level of numeracy and experience in data manipulation and statistical analysis.
