Consultant — Green Software Developer

Flexing It® is hiring a Green Software Developer in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. The role requires 5-6 years of experience, including 2 years with Green Software Foundation libraries. Responsibilities include developing green software solutions to reduce CO₂ emissions, performing calculations on carbon intensity, conducting static code analyses, and utilizing Azure Cloud. Skills needed include Python, MEAN/MERN stack analysis, and experience with clean code and reusable components.
Our client, a global leader in energy management and automation, is looking for a Green Software Developer (Individual Contributor) with 5–6 years of overall experience and at least 2 years of hands-on work with Green Software Foundation libraries.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and optimize green software solutions that focus on reducing CO₂ emissions and improving software sustainability metrics.
• Perform calculations related to Carbon Intensity, CO₂ Emissions, and Software Energy Intensity (SEI).
• Conduct static code analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimize code for performance and energy efficiency.
• Apply clean code principles and build reusable components to support long-term sustainability.
• Leverage the Azure Cloud platform for deploying and managing green software systems.
• Use Python programming to develop and analyze green software applications.
• Analyze applications built using the MEAN/MERN stack with static analysis tools for green compliance and efficiency.

Skills Required
• At least 2 years of work experience with Green Software foundation Library.
• Strong experience with Co2 Emission, Carbon Intensity and SEI calculations
• Strong Static Code Analysis Skills.
• Working experience with Clean code and building reusable components.
• Good experience with Azure Cloud platform
• Good python programming skills
• MEAN/MERN Stack Analysis experience with any static tools.
• Nice to have AWS cloud skills
• Nice to have Agile Working Experience.
• Nice to have GitHub and GitHub Actions knowledge/Experience
• Nice to have end to end automation framework knowledge
• Nice to have Cloud Infrastructure/DevOps experience.
