Enertis Applus+ is seeking a Consultant - Battery Energy Storage in London, UK, to provide technical advisory services for battery energy storage projects. Responsibilities include technical due diligence, construction monitoring, and drafting specifications. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience with utility-scale battery systems, strong report writing skills, and knowledge of relevant standards. Our Consultancy area specializes in the technical assessment of renewable energy projects. We work for the entities that finance the projects, or for the investment funds that buy or sell them.

We are currently looking for Consultant Battery Energy Storage to join our Consulting team in UK, to offer Technical advisor services to developers, owners, operators, lenders, and investors of stand alone or co-located battery energy storage system projects.

Among its main functions, the selected person will have the following tasks:
• Technical due diligence reviews.
• Construction stage monitoring and inspection.
• Technical specification drafting and support with contract development.
• Monitoring of market technology developments and new battery products.

What do we need?
• Technical experience with the following battery energy storage system (BESS) sub-systems:
• Battery module and rack systems;
• Power conversion systems;
• Battery unit controllers;
• BESS cooling systems; and
• Fire detection and suppression systems.
• Excellent technical report writing skills.
• Experience leading or taking part in a technical due diligence process and in battery equipment procurement.
• Experience with the application of relevant IEC standards, NFPA 855, and UL9540A
• Dealing effectively and professionally with external and internal clients, attending meetings etc.
• Can witness site acceptance testing and provide site-based construction monitoring.
• Can work as part of a wider engineering team and also to operate autonomously.

Experience:
• At least 2 years experience with stand alone or col-ocated utility scale (>10 MW)
• At least 4 years experience acting as an independent technical advisor in any sector
