About the position

Resource Environmental Solutions (RES) is seeking a Construction Project Manager I to oversee the delivery of environmental restoration construction projects in the Southeast region, specifically from our offices in Forsyth, GA, Athens, GA, and Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on managing projects that range from small to large in scale. The primary mission of this role is to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This position may require some overnight travel to various project sites. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders involved in the construction process, including safety teams, field crews, and management. You will be responsible for maintaining safety standards, tracking project progress, and communicating updates to management and accounting teams. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be the primary point of contact for clients, handling all necessary paperwork such as submittals, schedules, and certifications. You will also participate in client meetings to discuss project timelines, issues, and successes. Your responsibilities will extend to ensuring that projects are adequately staffed and equipped, working alongside Superintendents and the Operations Manager. Additionally, you will manage the financial and contractual aspects of the projects, which includes collaborating with the estimating team to create budgets, tracking expenses, and executing monthly billing invoices. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to navigate complex projects with diverse client needs. Responsibilities
• Oversee the delivery of environmental restoration construction projects on time, within scope, and within budget.

• Collaborate with safety teams to ensure compliance with safety standards.

• Track project progress and communicate updates to management and accounting teams.

• Handle client-required paperwork including submittals, schedules, and certifications.

• Attend client-based progress meetings to discuss schedules, project issues, and successes.

• Ensure projects are fully staffed and equipped with necessary materials and equipment.

• Manage financial and contractual aspects of projects, including budget creation and tracking.

• Execute monthly billing invoices and required project paperwork.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in applied sciences, engineering, construction management, or a similar field.

• 3+ years of progressive experience in a construction management role, with at least 1 year in project management.

• Experience with task management on construction projects.

Nice-to-haves
• Detailed understanding of environmental restoration projects such as stream restoration and wetland construction.

• Experience as a construction superintendent or foreman looking to transition into project management.

• Professional certifications related to construction project management.

• Experience leading large teams through various situations.

• Heavy civil construction experience.
