Job Description
Green Infrastructure Partners is seeking a Construction Project Manager for road building and infrastructure in Markham, ON. The role involves planning, supervising, and ensuring quality control of projects, along with procurement and compliance with safety policies. Candidates should have at least 5 years of supervisory experience in heavy civil construction, strong communication skills, and a valid G driver's license. The position is full-time and requires flexibility for nights and weekends.
Job Description:
As a key member of our team at Green Infrastructure Partners, you will play a vital role in the planning, execution, and monitoring of assigned projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the supervision, procurement, and quality control of project activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Procure all necessary materials and resources for project daily diary activities
• Review and approve timesheets submitted by team members
• Participate in job close-out procedures to ensure seamless project completion
• Ensure compliance with company health and safety policies and procedures
• Conduct accident investigations and prepare incident reports
• Provide Contract Administrator with summary reports for invoicing purposes
• Participate in weekly and monthly job cost reviews to resolve revenue and cost issues
Position Requirements:
• Diploma in civil engineering technology or construction management is an asset
• Minimum 5 years of supervisor experience on heavy civil construction projects
• Proven track record in managing road building and civil infrastructure projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationships
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
• Effective decision-making, problem-solving, and time management skills
• A valid G driver's license is required
• Willingness to work nights and weekends when scheduled
