Job Description
Cianbro is seeking a Construction Project Manager for Power & Energy in Ohio City, OH. The role involves leading project management efforts focusing on safety, quality, and client satisfaction. Responsibilities include overseeing construction activities, managing resources, and ensuring project compliance with contracts and schedules. Candidates should have a degree in engineering or construction management and at least 5 years of heavy construction experience. Regional travel is required.
Project leader in all aspects - safety, environmental, quality, productivity, and profitability. Provide overall project management with a focus on developing a cohesive team, efficient resource management, technical proficiency, and innovative problem-solving. Help drive estimate efforts both pre-bid and as required for change orders and other business opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
• Primary point of contact for the client, ensure client satisfaction and maintain relationship scope of work and resources required to successfully complete the project.
• Oversee supervision of total construction effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with contract, design, budget, and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, AE representatives, other contractors, etc.
• Responsible for planning, coordination, and supervision of all onsite functions (scheduling, daily/weekly goal setting, engineering, material control, and may provide day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc.)
• Supervise Field Supervisors and/or other contractors as required by the contract.
• Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.
Qualifications/ Requirements
• Four-year engineering or construction management degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience in a particular specialty.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in heavy construction, utility construction preferred.
• Knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, means, and methods); supervision, estimating, schedules, budget, and safety required.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational and supervisory skills essential.
• Requires significant independent judgment.
• Regional travel required.
