Construction Manager / Field Supervisor

KTA is expanding our team and hiring a motivated Construction Manager / Field Supervisor to oversee and manage construction / coating inspection projects in West Virginia serving the transportation and highway construction market. The successful candidate will have a home office based out of West Virginia with a combination of work from home and field site visits throughout the state to ensure client satisfaction and monitor project performance. Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Project & Team Management: Manages West Virginia operations, verifying project execution, and manages inspectors assigned to West Virginia-based projects, fostering a safety-first culture
• Quality Assurance Oversight: Ensures quality work is delivered through adherence to internal procedures and industry standards
• Project Supervisor: Overseeing multiple projects, completing AWP daily reports, contractor estimates, change orders and project closeouts
• Financial Monitoring: Assists with managing financial metrics to gauge profitability
• Business Development: Builds and maintains client relationships, supporting growth and driving new sales opportunities in coordination with the Coatings Group Manager
Position Requirements:
• 3-10+ years of construction industry experience with a high school diploma/GED – required
• Entry level candidates with 0-3 years of experience and a B.S. degree in Construction Management, Engineering or similar discipline are also encouraged to apply
• NICET certification – preferred
• WV Transportation Engineering Technician Certification WVTRET – preferred
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks independently with excellent organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Physical Requirements: Close, distance, and depth vision and ability to adjust focus; ability to work in confined spaces and walk on uneven terrain, climb ladders and high structures (150 ft. or more), hear, wear a respirator, and safely lift 25 pounds; and willingness to travel (predominantly in WV) and work outside (including inclement weather)
Salary Range: $50,000-100,000. Base pay is determined based on experience and education.
