About Us

We are a non-residential program that engages motivated young adults in conservation and service projects throughout the western United States. Our mission is to empower local communities with skills, resources, and tools to revitalize their traditional culture.
Program Overview

As a member of our dynamic community, you will work on challenging and impactful projects, develop new skills, and connect with the environment, Indigenous values, and local communities.
Responsibilities
• Work effectively as a team member and contribute to a safe learning environment.
• Participate in all aspects of the program, including conservation projects, education, training, and national service.
• Communicate effectively and discuss ideas and concerns with leaders and peers.
• Learn skills and apply them to effectively carry out service work requirements.
• Represent the community while on project.
Safety and Judgment
• Perceive and communicate environmental and work hazards with the team.
• Follow direction and stay alert in varied weather conditions.
• Act with compassion toward peers and staff.
Environmental Ethics
• Learn and practice 'Leave no Trace' techniques.
Outdoor Skills and Fitness
• Learn and safely perform fundamental outdoor living/travel and work skills.
Requirements
• Commitment – participate in all aspects of the program.

• Professionalism – follow policies and maintain professional boundaries.
