About the position
As a Conservation Program Specialist 1, your role will encompass responsibilities associated with essential statewide certification initiatives, including the Nutrient Management Specialist (NMS) certification program, the Odor Management Specialist (OMS) certification program, and the Commercial Manure Hauler and Broker (MHB) certification program. You will be tasked with the development and coordination of program activities aimed at establishing a framework that enables individuals from the commercial sector, public sector, and farming community to achieve certification as required by the Nutrient and Odor Management Act (Act 38 of 2005) and the Commercial Manure Hauler and Broker Act (Act 49 of 2004). Your efforts will be crucial in ensuring compliance with these legislative mandates while promoting best practices in nutrient and odor management.

• Develop and coordinate program activities for certification initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with the Nutrient and Odor Management Act and the Commercial Manure Hauler and Broker Act.

Requirements
• Two years experience as a Conservation District Field Representative 2 or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

• Possession of a valid PA Class C Driver's License.

• Meet the PA residency requirement.

• Ability to perform essential job functions.

• Pass a background investigation.
,
• Submit satisfactory criminal history reports including PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
