Conservation Outreach Graduate Intern

The Conservation Outreach Graduate Intern at Emirates Nature-WWF in Dubai will manage logistics, event planning, and community engagement, particularly focusing on youth. Responsibilities include supporting volunteer management, executing community engagement strategies, and collaborating with marketing teams. The role requires a background in environmental sustainability and excellent communication skills. This position is based in Dubai and not remote.
The Conservation Outreach Graduate Intern will take ownership of the tasks assigned including logistics, event planning, community management, marketing and communications support. He/She will be expected to be able to lead our community to achieve measurable transformative impact at scale.
- The Conservation Outreach Graduate Intern will drive our communities towards action, in particular the youth community. He/She will support with the management a team of volunteers and ensure full compliance with the policies and procedures of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
• Conservation Membership Products, PPSR & CWN (70%)
- Support with the execution of the vision for transformative community engagement for conservation impact.
- Support capacity building internally and externally around citizen science. Ensure accurate data collection and adherence to protocol, compile citizen science data.
- Participate in conservation portfolio activities to ensure immersion on projects and better understanding of project goals.
- Support in the development of volunteer concepts and workplans (field and virtual volunteer activations) for the ENWWF community (including youth).
- Support with the logistics preparations & needs for the successful delivery of activities in collaboration with vendors and partners.
- Follow strict Health and Safety standards for our activities.
- Develop content & accompanying materials to support volunteers in their journey.
- Support the team towards achieving a seamless volunteer experience.
- Support with volunteer engagement, rewards & communities of action
- Collaborate with the communications and marketing team to develop content specific for different audiences.
- Support with the execution of an activities calendar to maintain engagement.
• *Support organizational priorities and communications (30%)**
- Support with enquiry handling and communications with the community.
- Generate content from onsite events and activities.
- Curate user generated content and assist with influencer marketing.
- Report on volunteer satisfaction and community insights as well as brand sentiment for adaptive management & contribute to impact reporting and M&E for membership products.

Required Qualifications
- Experience and background in environmental sustainability, ecology, nature conservation or similar.
- Interest and knowledge of local biodiversity and it’s conservation
- Some experience with organising events, citizen science, field volunteering, admin support and customer service.
- Data literate and reliable with accuracy of data
• *Education:
- Postgraduate/ Graduate degree in Environmental Science, Ecology or relevant field
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic is highly desirable
