Montana Conservation Corps is offering Conservation Intern and Fellow positions for Summer and Fall 2025 in Helena, MT. These roles provide hands-on experience in natural resources, mentorship, and career development. Positions Available Summer through Fall 2025

Montana Conservation Corps (MCC) offers two exciting opportunities to gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and career development in natural resource fields through our Conservation Intern (CI) and Conservation Fellow (CF) programs.

Now Accepting Applications for:
• Summer Conservation Internships:

-Dates: May – mid-August 2025

-Ideal for students, recent grads, or anyone looking for a shorter-term commitment

-Living Allowance: $1,120 bi-weekly

-Education Award: $1,956.35 (AmeriCorps)
• Fall Conservation Fellowships:

-Dates: Early June – Early October 2025

-Ideal for those seeking deeper engagement and extended term service

-Living Allowance: $1,160 bi-weekly

-Education Award: $2,817.14 (AmeriCorps)

-Includes health insurance and federal hiring preference eligibility (for certain host sites)

Project Opportunities Include:
• Habitat restoration
• Invasive species and noxious weed treatment
• Biological weed control (insects, mites, fungi)
• Climate and drought resiliency
• Wildlife and stream surveys
• Conservation education and outreach
• GIS and mapping projects
• Science communication
• Rangeland and soil monitoring
• Developed recreation and volunteer management

We match you with host sites that align with your interests—whether that’s bioagent research, field ecology, community outreach, or nonprofit operations.

Who Should Apply?
• Age 17 or older
• US citizen or lawful permanent resident
• High school diploma or GED
• Passion for conservation and community service
• Able to commit to the full term of service
• Must pass a National Service Criminal History Check
• Reliable transportation required
