Job Description
The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs seek a Conservation Enforcement Officer to protect natural resources and enforce laws related to Fish & Wildlife and Parks Management. Applicants should be at least 21, possess a valid Oregon driver's license, and preferably be certified as a Police Officer. Benefits include medical, dental, 401(k) matching, and paid time off. This is a full-time position based in Warm Springs, OR.
Represent the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Reservation of Oregon/Branch of Natural Resources as a commissioned law enforcement officer (Police Officer). Perform all aspects of natural resource protection. Conservation and education. As a law enforcement officer to implement enforcement efforts to Fish & Wildlife issues as well as the recreational aspects of Parks Management. Protect and enforce laws and ordinances for all cultural resources.
Tribal member preference.
Requirements
Must have a high school diploma or GED. Prefer applicant be certified in the state of Oregon as a Police Officer. (Desired but not required) Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid Oregon driver's license. Must be in good physical condition and able to negotiate some times steep rugged terrain. Must pass a drug/alcohol screenings and submit and pass an in-depth background/character investigation per PL 101-630 (Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act). Must also submit and pass a physiological exam and physical fitness test.
