Compost Laborer

Waste Connections, Inc. is hiring a full-time Compost Laborer for Upper Valley Disposal in St. Helena, CA. The position offers a schedule of 6:30am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays and a starting pay of $20/hour, ranging up to $22/hour. Responsibilities include sorting materials, monitoring compost temperatures, and site cleanup. Applicants should have at least two years of labor experience, be able to lift over 50 pounds, and work in various weather conditions. Benefits include medical, dental, and 401K options.
Upper Valley Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Compost Laborer to join our team in St. Helena, CA! This is a full time, long term position with a reputable company.

The schedule will be 6:30am-4:30pm Monday - Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Starting pay is $20/hour. The pay range for this job category is $20-22/hour.

Responsibilities Include:
• Sorting material by hand and by operating equipment
• Reading temperatures in compost piles
• Cleaning equipment as needed
• Landscaping & general site cleanup as needed
• Performing other assigned duties at the facility as needed
Requirements:
• At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor type position
• The ability to lift more than 50 pounds
• Experience operating equipment is a plus
• Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift
