Job Description

MiraCosta College is hiring part-time Community Education Instructors for Sustainable Fashion & Textiles classes in Oceanside, CA. Candidates should have expertise in areas like natural dyeing, eco-friendly textile production, and upcycling. Strong communication skills and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds are essential. Instructors must teach onsite and can choose their hours. Pay ranges from $35 to $65 per hour, requiring at least one year of teaching experience.
MiraCosta College is seeking passionate and experienced instructors to join our Community Education program and teach engaging Sustainable Fashion & Textiles classes. If you have expertise in any of the following areas, we’d love to hear from you.

Description:

· DIY Natural Dyeing Techniques

· Eco-Friendly Textile Production

· Upcycling & Recycling Clothing

Qualifications:
• Demonstrated expertise in your subject area
• Strong communication and teaching skills
• Enthusiasm for community education
• Be able to work one-on-one and with small to large groups of students.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disability issues.
• Must reside in California.
• Must be able to teach onsite at our designated locations.
