Job Description
The City of St. Louis is seeking a Community Development Specialist to enhance the quality of life for residents through strategy development and implementation. Key responsibilities include identifying community needs, collaborating with local officials, planning events, and advocating for residents. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and a commitment to community development. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $45K–$65K per year.

Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of life for residents of the City of St. Louis.
Identify community needs and challenges and create solutions to address them.
Work closely with local government officials and community organizations to promote sustainable growth and development.
Serve as a liaison between the community and government agencies, advocating for the needs and concerns of residents.
Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to city leaders.
Plan and coordinate community events and initiatives to engage residents and foster a sense of community.
Collaborate with other city departments to ensure alignment and integration of community development efforts.
Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including community leaders, businesses, and non-profit organizations.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community development programs and initiatives.
Communicate regularly with residents to gather feedback and address concerns.
Stay up-to-date on local and national trends and best practices in community development.
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate progress and outcomes of community development efforts.
Manage and track budgets for community development projects and programs.
Represent the city at community meetings, events, and conferences.
Serve as a positive role model for community engagement and involvement.
