Job Description

Tesla Motors is seeking a Collision Technician for its King of Prussia, PA location to support the Body Repair Program. Responsibilities include disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of Tesla vehicles, collaborating with repair estimators, and managing parts organization. Candidates should have mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools; prior automotive or aircraft repair experience is a plus. This position will involve supporting the Body Repair Program in all aspects of its Approved Body Shop Program. We are looking for candidates with mechanical aptitude, who love working with state-of-the-art technology, to work with the world's leading electric vehicle manufacturer.

Responsibilities
Perform disassembly, inspection, repair, and service of Tesla Model S, Model X, and Model 3 electric vehicles Work closely with the repair planning estimator to sequentially dismantle damaged vehicles, organize and label all parts and hardware ID all damages for Insurance personnel to see Bag and Tag hardware in accordance with specific procedures Perform Repair and replacement of selected parts not requiring repainting Perform reassembly after paintwork is complete

Requirements
Mechanical aptitude, demonstrated ability working with hand tools. Ability to follow and memorize standard work Instructions. Background in equipment maintenance, aircraft repair, automotive repair, all a plus. Excellent attitude and enjoys working in Teams. Prior experience working within lean manufacturing environments also a plus, as overhaul work moves through work cells or stages each following specific standardized work steps. Tesla's rapid growth requires willingness to be cross trained in career advancing work processes, as our volume and product lines increase. Must be at least 18 years of age.
