Coach - Wolfi s Cycling Academy

Wolfi's Cycling Academy is seeking a Coach in Abu Dhabi to train young cyclists, enhancing their skills and promoting cycling as a healthy sport. Responsibilities include delivering structured sessions, engaging with schools and the community, ensuring safety, and supporting events. As a Coach at Wolfi's Cycling Academy, you will be responsible for providing high-quality training to our cyclists, helping them to improve their skills, achieve their goals, and enjoy the sport. This role aims to promote cycling as a healthy and accessible sport, inspire young riders, and develop participation while ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Coaching & Program Delivery:
• Deliver structured cycling sessions in schools and academy programs to equip young riders with essential skills.
• Adapt coaching methods to suit different age groups and abilities, fostering a fun and engaging learning environment.
• Teach cycling techniques, safety awareness, and road cycling strategies, empowering riders to progress and succeed.
• Identify and nurture talented young riders, offering opportunities for progression into academy programs.

Community Engagement & School Partnerships:
• BUILD strong relationships with schools, teachers, parents, and local organisations to increase cycling participation.
• Collaborate with schools to implement cycling programs, aligning with educational and sports objectives.
• Organise community cycling events, races, and outreach programs to encourage wider engagement and foster a love for cycling.

Cycle Safety & Equipment Management:
• E nsure all coaching sessions comply with health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments before sessions, maintaining a safe cycling environment.
• Assist in managing bikes, helmets, and training equipment, ensuring they are properly maintained and available for sessions.

Event Support & Competition:
• Support the academy's races, competitions, and cycling festivals, enabling young riders to experience competitive cycling.
• Encourage participation in local and national youth cycling events, promoting a culture of friendly competition.

Requirements:
• Recognised coaching certification (e.g., British Cycling Level 1 or 2, UCI Coaching Certificate, or equivalent) would be beneficial.
• Passion for working with children and young people to develop their cycling skills and confidence.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire riders to reach their full potential.
• Knowledge of cycling safety, bike handling skills, and training techniques, along with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Able to work flexible hours, including after-school sessions and weekends when required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• A valid first aid certification and Safeguarding in Sport qualification (or willingness to obtain one), ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all riders.
• Experience working with schools, sports clubs, or community programs is an advantage, but not essential.
