Job Description

Citi is seeking a Climate Risk Modeling VP in India to develop and validate climate risk measurement methods, focusing on commercial real estate. The role involves working with large datasets and machine learning to create climate solutions, conducting analyses, and preparing technical documentation. Candidates should have 6-10 years of experience, strong programming skills, and the ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for a Master's.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, improve, and validate methods for measuring and analyzing climate risk, focusing on both physical and transition risks, with an emphasis on commercial real estate impact.
• Work with large datasets and complex algorithms to address data science challenges, utilizing big data and cutting-edge machine learning techniques to create innovative, deployable climate change solutions.
• Design and implement models to generate analytics and reports to manage climate risk for Citi’s operations.
• Conduct detailed analysis and compile it into comprehensive technical documentation reports, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and exceed industry requirements.
• Collaborate within teams to solve business challenges.

Qualifications:
• 6-10 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge and expertise in model development and validation testing techniques for risk models.
• Proficiency in programming, data modeling, and data management, with expertise in Python, SQL, and Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Ability to deliver engaging presentations and influence executive stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead teams.
• Experience working in big data environments and a strong intellectual curiosity to stay current with technological advancements.

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), with a preference for a Master’s degree.
