Job Description

Freddie Mac is seeking a Climate Risk Manager in McLean, VA, to identify and manage climate-related risks impacting business operations. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential climate-related risks that may impact our business operations.
Develop and implement strategies to mitigate and manage climate-related risks.
Monitor and analyze key climate data and trends to assess potential impact on our business.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate climate risk considerations into our business strategies and decision-making processes.
Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to climate risk management.
Communicate and report on climate risk findings and recommendations to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
Conduct training and educational sessions for employees to increase awareness and understanding of climate risks.
Work with external partners and stakeholders to share knowledge and collaborate on climate risk management initiatives.
Identify and implement innovative solutions to address climate risks in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our climate risk management strategies and make necessary adjustments as needed.
Proactively identify emerging climate risks and develop contingency plans to minimize potential impacts.
Represent Freddie Mac in relevant industry forums and conferences related to climate risk management.
Serve as a subject matter expert on climate risk management and provide guidance and support to other departments as needed.
Foster a culture of climate risk awareness and responsibility within the organization.
Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to climate risk management.
