Climate Risk Management Specialist

This specialist will be responsible for managing climate risk, adaptation, and mitigation projects. The role involves staying up-to-date with sector trends, conducting outreach, generating reports, and presenting business development progress. Expanding Climate Change and Sustainability portfolios, contributing to research on energy-economy modelling, policy analysis, just energy transition, climate resilience, and low-carbon technologies is also a key responsibility.

The position requires representing the organization at conferences, workshops, and training sessions, as well as writing high-quality technical proposals and contributing to financial proposal development. Building effective consortiums aligned with client goals and supporting team members in winning business is crucial. Coordinating project teams to ensure timely and quality deliverables, co-creating alternate climate policy scenarios, and supporting energy-economy modelling data analysis are also essential tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Climate Science, Energy Systems, Renewable Energy, Power Systems, or related fields. A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in climate mitigation, energy systems, or sustainability roles is necessary. Proven experience developing commercial proposals for bilateral/multilateral donors and philanthropies, as well as experience working with government agencies and international development organizations, is also required.
