We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Climate Risk Analytics Manager.

We are searching for an experienced climate scientist to lead the quantification of climate change-related risks for the trading book. You will be the in-house specialist for Climate risk modelling and the science and methodological aspects behind it.

You will be part of a team of other senior analytics manager and will be working closely with various stakeholders including Business, Traded Risk Managers and data vendors.

In this role, you will:
• Own the development, validation, and maintenance of globally consistent Climate risk models for the trading book such as Value-at-Risk (VaR), Stressed VaR, IRC
• Be accountable for Global methodology frameworks, development, and assessment procedures for Climate risk for the trading book
• Proactively manage projects and manage resources.
• Act as a subject matter expert with respect to climate risk and regularly communicating with the regulator, Trading Desks and wider teams across Traded Risk to explain and elucidate complex modelling details in non-technical language
• Write good quality and comprehensive documentation, that is well thought through and easy to understand

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
• Relevant experience of quantitative or in a technical field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Operational Research, Computer Science, or equivalent is essential for this role.
• Proven experience in Climate Science modelling is essential in this role
• Deep knowledge of Trading Book Market Risk Models and Analytics , as well as trading business and derivative products
• Knowledge in programming particularly in Python is essential
• Knowledge of Stress Testing or Economic Capital is advantageous

The base location for this role is London – Hybrid Working
