Job Description

The Climate Research Officer will support research and public diplomacy activities to amplify and report on Australia's strategic COP31 and climate change objectives within the region.

The position will deliver public diplomacy objectives including to amplify Australia's strategic COP31 and climate change objectives.

You will engage with colleagues, public officials, non-government entities, regional organisations, and stakeholders in regional countries on climate and energy transition issues.

The position includes elements of research, administrative, logistical and translation support.

The role requires working outside of business hours and undertaking travel outside of Mexico City may be required.
