About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable professional to join our team as a Climate Policy Analyst. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and growing our corporate sustainability and climate change business.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage clients and projects effectively, demonstrating expertise in understanding climate and energy policy, identifying climate change risks and opportunities, and conducting policy and technical analyses.
• Support the development of climate change strategy, action planning, and modeling of science-based targets.
• Think strategically to influence decision-makers and outcomes, with expertise in electric and natural gas utilities, transportation electrification, or air and climate regulation an advantage.

Additional responsibilities include:
• EFFECTIVELY COACHING COLLEAGUES TO DELIVER HIGH-QUALITY OUTPUTS BASED ON COMPLEX SOURCE MATERIAL.
• DEMONSTRATING STRONG PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS AND OVERSIGHT THROUGH THE PROJECT LIFECYCLE, INCLUDING SCOPE, BUDGET AND DELIVERY.
• DEMONSTRATING STRONG ANALYTICAL SKILLS, EXCELLENT WRITING AND PRESENTATION SKILLS, AND A MASTERY OF CLIENT COMMUNICATION.
• BUILDING STRONG AND TRUSTED RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLIENTS AND/OR BUSINESS PARTNERS.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:
• A bachelor's degree, with a master's degree preferred, in policy, law, economics, engineering, or basic/applied science (such as physics, chemistry, material sciences, environmental science, earth sciences, etc.).
• 2+ years of relevant work experience in a related field, such as consultancy, private sector, or environmental policy.
• A thorough understanding of technical, economic, policy and market challenges and opportunities associated with the low carbon energy transition.
• Strong analytical skills, ability to think strategically, analyze and synthesize diverse qualitative and quantitative data and information.
• Attention to detail and commitment to deliver high-quality work products.
• Demonstrated project management and leadership skills.
• STRUCTURED AND EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATOR THAT CAN SHAPE AND DELIVER MESSAGES TO EXECUTIVE LEVEL AND FACILITATE EFFECTIVE CLIENT ENGAGEMENTS.
