Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work with teens in the City of Somerville's Summer Youth Program. As a facilitator, you will play a key role in providing a supportive and engaging environment for our young participants to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and guide a group of 10 teen participants in the Mayor's Summer Jobs Program
• Plan and implement team building and professional development workshops
• Coordinate logistics for job placements with city department representatives
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to youth supervision and program evaluation
• Ensure a safe and inclusive work environment for all participants
Requirements
• Education: High school diploma required; preferred qualifications include a degree in education, child/youth development, or human services
• Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in youth services, education, or community outreach
• Knowledge and Skills:
• Strong understanding of youth development principles and best practices
• Experience facilitating educational workshops for groups of teens
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
