Climate Impact Project Coordinator

Ampact is hiring a Climate Impact Project Coordinator for the Climate Impact Corps in Brainerd, MN. The role involves working with nonprofits and public agencies to address climate change through community engagement and project coordination. Responsibilities include tree planting, solar assessments, and sustainability projects. The position is full-time (40 hours/week) with training and benefits, running from August 2025 to July 2026.

Join Climate Impact Corps as a Climate Impact Project Coordinator and you’ll spend your days at a nonprofit organization, higher education institution, or public agency that has a mission to preserve and protect our environment. We’ll train you to help communities prepare for and respond to climate change and support you every step of the way.

How does it work? You’ll take on projects that contribute to your service site’s goals, focusing on community engagement, data collection, project coordination, volunteer mobilization, or workforce development. With every project, you'll help build a more sustainable future for Minnesota!

Core Responsibilities
• Support projects such as:
• Planting and Inventorying trees
• Designing and managing nursery gravel beds
• Conducting virtual and on-site solar opporunity assessments
• Installing energy-saving materials
• Organizing sustainability projects
• Analyzing climate resilence efforts
• Commit to your own growth through training and professional development
• Share your experience with the community

Essential Qualifications

By the time you begin your service with Climate Impact Corps, you should be:
• Dependable and have a history of good attendance
• Able to follow instructions nad make improvements based on feedback
• Able to set a pace and maintain a service schedule, depending on the agreed upon hours commitment
• Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
• 18 years of age or older with a highschool diploma or equivalent
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
• Ability to succesfully complete a background check

Schedule

We are currently hiring for the 2025-26 program year. Positions run August 2025-July 2026.
• 40 hours per week
• Daytime hours
• Monay - Friday
• Time off on holidays

Part-time positions are also available at 25 hours per week!

Full-time AmeriCorps members receive a paycheck (stipend) every two weeks. Compensation: $14.88 per hour served and additional perks!
