Job Description
Dt Global is seeking a Climate Finance Data Analyst based in Canberra, Australia, to support the Australian Government's climate change commitments. The role involves climate finance accounting and reporting, data compilation and analysis, and assisting program managers. Essential skills include strong Excel proficiency and experience in public financial management and climate finance. The position may require some travel, as it is not fully remote.

• Program Background
Climate Resilient Communities (CRC) supports implementation of the Australian Government's climate change commitments under Australia's International Development Policy, in line with partner government priorities.
CRC supports the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to increase climate investments, drive climate integration, and better address climate change and disaster risk across Australia's development portfolio.
CRC incentivises funding towards gender-responsive, inclusive climate and disaster resilience programming, particularly in the water, food, nature-based solutions, and energy sectors.
DFAT has engaged DT Global to support the implementation of CRC through a Support Unit.

• The Role
DFAT has implemented mandatory reporting on climate financing across its development program investments, this position will be instrumental in assisting programs to meet their climate finance reporting obligations across the CRC portfolio.
The Climate Finance Data Analyst is responsible for supporting DFATs climate finance accounting and reporting requirements. This will include :
• supporting DFATs climate finance accounting and reporting process for Australian Government and International agreement purposes
• undertaking climate finance data compilation and analysis
• supporting systems improvements to track and report climate finance accounting, and
• supporting DFAT program managers on climate integration and climate finance reporting.
• About You
• Essential Experience and Knowledge
• Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
• Relevant work experience in public financial management and / or undertaking data analysis, quality assurance and reporting.
• Experience in climate or other aid / development / grant finance accounting.
• Data management and reporting experience including high-level expertise with Excel, as well as the ability to use DFATs aid management system to track, quality assure and report financial and program information.
• Good attention to detail and sound decision-making skills with experience in evaluating datasets.
• Understanding of and commitment to Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI), Child Protection, PSEAH, prevention of human trafficking, environmental protection, anti-corruption and other DFAT safeguarding policies.
