Key Responsibilities
• Develop tools and models to assess emissions linked to investments, ensuring proper documentation and validation of methodologies.
• Contribute to software and data science projects focused on climate risk, including data analysis, statistical modeling, and software development.
• Collaborate within a cross-functional team of researchers, industry analysts, technology experts, and client-facing professionals.
• Communicate insights and findings with internal teams and clients, offering support on methodology and data-related inquiries.
• Design innovative solutions to help investors navigate sustainability challenges.
• Apply agile development practices and rapid prototyping to create and refine models.
• Identify emerging challenges and opportunities, adapting strategies as needed.
• Engage with clients to understand their net-zero investment challenges and offer support on methodology and data concerns.
Skills & Experience for Success
• Proficiency in Python for software development.
• Background in climate science, environmental modeling, sustainability, or data science.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt and reprioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working within cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills to present complex concepts clearly.
• Prior experience in climate finance or sustainable finance.
• Familiarity with carbon accounting standards (e.g., Greenhouse Gas Protocol, Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials) and Sectoral Decarbonization Approach (SDA) is a plus.
• Self-driven, proactive, and goal-oriented, with a strong commitment to delivering results.
