Job Description

WSP is hiring a Climate Change Specialist - Product Assessments in Greensboro, NC. The role involves developing life cycle assessments to evaluate environmental impacts, producing reports, and researching ways to reduce these impacts. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 6 years of experience in product sustainability and LCA consulting. Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required.
We are seeking a skilled Climate Change Specialist - Product Assessments to join our Climate, Resilience and Sustainability Team. In this role, you will work on projects that focus on Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and help us meet our client's objectives and solve their challenges.

Your key responsibilities will include:
• Developing product life cycle assessments to calculate impacts such as GHG emission, energy use, water use, consumption and scarcity, waste, and other impacts.
• Producing reports (screening-level and ISO-conformant, comparative and non-comparative) and presentations based on the results of LCAs.
• Researching opportunities to reduce environmental impacts in the life cycle of a product or service.
• Supporting business development activities with existing and prospective clients.

To succeed in this role, you will need:
• A Bachelor's degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or environmental discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in product sustainability and LCA consulting in the electronics and technology business sectors.
• Familiarity with the product design process, manufacturing, supply chain management, circular economy principles and methods of reducing waste.
• Strong oral and written communications skills, and use of Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
