As a Research Scientist at CarbonCapture Inc., you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on climate change by advancing our Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology. You will be responsible for designing and synthesizing innovative sorbent materials, optimizing their properties, and characterizing their performance using advanced techniques. Your work will contribute to the development of more efficient, stable, and scalable DAC systems.
About the Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:
• A Masters degree or Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional working experience in sorbent development, characterization, and testing, preferably in CO2 capture from the atmosphere or point sources.
• Strong background in material synthesis, surface chemistry, method development, experimental design, and adsorption processes.
• Proficiency in analytical techniques such as BET, TGA, FTIR, DSC, DVS, and related methods.
• Experience with lab-scale and pilot-scale testing of sorbent materials.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely.
