Job Description

The Director of Climate Justice will play a critical role in advancing CLF's climate justice agenda, working closely with the VP of Environmental Justice and other senior leaders to develop and implement a comprehensive climate justice strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a climate justice strategy that aligns with CLF's overall mission and goals;">
• Lead and manage a team of professionals to advance climate justice initiatives and policies;">
• Collaborate with other CLF teams to amplify climate justice efforts;">
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, policymakers, and business partners;">
• Develop and manage budgets and project plans to achieve climate justice goals;">
• Represent CLF at conferences, meetings, and other events related to climate justice;">
• Stay up-to-date on climate justice issues and trends, and apply that knowledge to inform CLF's advocacy efforts;">
• Contribute to the development of CLF's climate justice policy positions and recommendations;">
• Provide guidance and support to other CLF staff on climate justice issues.">

Requirements
">

To be successful in this role, you will need:
">

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental justice, climate change, or a related field;">
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams, including staff supervision and development;">
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders;">
• A strong understanding of climate justice issues, policies, and trends;">
• Experience working with communities of color and those that are economically or otherwise disadvantaged;">
• Ability to think critically and strategically, with a focus on achieving lasting impact;">
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform decision-making;">
• Experience working with budget management software and tools;">
