This is an exciting opportunity to join the State of California in its efforts to mitigate climate change. As an Air Resources Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating and advancing innovative carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) and carbon dioxide removal (CDR) technologies. Your expertise will play a crucial role in supporting California's efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045.

Responsibilities:
• Assessing the efficacy, safety, and viability of emerging and existing CCUS/CDR technologies
• Developing and implementing regulations related to CCUS/CDR
• Collaborating with State, Local and Federal agencies to develop CCUS Program rules

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in regulatory development and proficiency in writing clear, direct, non-technical documents for diverse audiences are also highly desirable.
