About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Clean Energy Development Manager to join our team in Durham, NC. As a key member of our Climate Capital team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic investment initiatives aligned with the goals of the National Clean Investment Fund (NCIF). Your primary objective will be to address climate change and promote economic empowerment in underserved communities, particularly those designated as Justice40 communities and Low-Income and Disadvantaged Communities.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic investment initiatives aligned with the goals of the National Clean Investment Fund (NCIF)
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and evaluate investment opportunities, conducting thorough due diligence and risk assessments
- Manage a diverse portfolio of investments, monitoring performance and impact metrics to drive positive outcomes
- Cultivate partnerships with community organizations, industry leaders, and policymakers to maximize the fund's impact and advance environmental justice and economic equity
- Liaise with the Environmental Protection Agency Office of Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund staff to ensure program impact and compliance

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in urban planning, public policy, community development, finance, economics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 7 years' experience in structured finance, climate resilience, investment management, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in driving impact investment strategies
- Deep understanding of economic justice, climate finance, and community development principles
- Strong commitment to our mission – creating economic opportunity for traditionally underserved communities
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and influence diverse stakeholders
