About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for a full-time Energy and Climate Engagement Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of our Climate Change Strategy by implementing and supporting sustainable energy and climate engagement projects.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with diverse stakeholders, possess excellent communication skills, and have a genuine interest in climate change. Prior knowledge of domestic housing or energy use impacts on climate change would be beneficial.
Responsibilities
• Contribute to the delivery of the council's Climate Change Strategy through sustainable energy and climate engagement projects.
• Coordinate domestic retrofit projects, community energy initiatives, and corporate estate decarbonisation projects.
• Develop climate engagement initiatives, supporting community organisations and staff with climate education and action projects.
