Agricultural Economics Research Position

Oklahoma State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in the Department of Agricultural Economics. The successful candidate will contribute to the implementation of research projects focused on climate change impacts on rural communities.

About the Research
The successful candidate will work closely with faculty members and researchers to develop and implement research projects, analyze data, and disseminate findings to stakeholders. They will focus on environmental/climate economics research, exploring perceptions and impacts of climate volatility and extreme weather events.

Responsibilities
Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to investigate the economic impact of climate-related challenges on rural communities.
Develop surveys to examine trends and commonalities among rural communities across different states.
Collaborate with research and extension teams to create project materials and present research findings at conferences.
Participate in writing high-quality academic research papers for submission to peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements
PhD in agricultural economics, environmental/resource economics, or a similar field.
Strong communication skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Experience in environmental/climate economics research is preferred.
Ability to drive up to 3.5 hours to reach rural Oklahoma communities.
