Job Description

The Climate Change Analyst at beBee Careers in Irvine, CA, will analyze environmental data related to projects, ensuring compliance with CEQA and NEPA regulations. Key responsibilities include data analysis, collaboration with project teams, and communication with clients like the California Air Resources Board. Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience, a relevant degree, and familiarity with emissions modeling software.
The Climate Change Analyst position involves analyzing data to understand the impact of various projects on the environment. You will work with CEQA and NEPA documents to ensure that projects meet environmental regulations. This includes analyzing data from air quality and greenhouse gas emissions models.
Main Tasks:
• Analyze data to determine the environmental impact of various projects in California.
• Collaborate with project managers, principals, and air quality specialists on all projects.
• Discuss project impact, mitigation, and technical approaches with experts in air quality and CEQA/NEPA.

You will work with clients such as the California Air Resources Board, Attorney General's Office, major regional air districts, and cities and counties. You will apply your knowledge of software like CalEEMOD, AERMOD, and HARP to analyze data and write analytical sections of CEQA and NEPA documents.

To be successful in this role, you need at least 2-5 years of relevant professional experience. Strong analytical, computer, spreadsheet, and writing skills are essential. Familiarity with emissions modeling software is also desirable.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, math, environmental science, atmospheric science, meteorology, geography, natural resources management, planning, or a related field.
• Ability to analyze data using air quality emission models (EMFAC, CT-EMFAC, CalEEMod, OFFROAD, MOVES) and dispersion models (CALINE-4, AERMOD, HARP).
• Familiarity with state and federal air quality and climate change policies.
