beBee Careers is hiring a Climate Adaptation and Resilience Specialist in Milan. The role involves conducting climate vulnerability assessments, supporting adaptation strategies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Sustainable Development Team as a Climate Adaptation and Resilience Specialist. This role involves supporting our growing portfolio of projects, focusing on the major agenda of resilience and adaptation to climate change.
Key Responsibilities:
• Development of climate vulnerability and risk assessments for city, masterplanning, buildings, infrastructure, and advisory projects
• Technical support for reporting on physical risks and adaptation for a wide range of projects, in line with best practice and regulations such as TCFD, EU Taxonomy
• Support external partners and clients to develop adaptation and resilience plans and strategies
• Support design workstream in portfolios such as Transport Property, Energy Water and Resources and multidisciplinary design teams to embed resilience and climate adaptation in design
• Support global research on resilience and adaptation
Requirements:
• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning with focus on environment and climate; or Environmental science
• Knowledge of climate science and interpretation of model outputs for resilience and adaptation purposes
• Knowledge in design, construction and/or research on adaptation for the built environment
• Working knowledge of Global, European and Italian, policy and regulatory frameworks for climate change - including UNFCCC agenda and SDGs
• Excellent research and analysis skills
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams in multicultural environment
• Fluent in both Italian and English
