Gensler is offering a Summer Climate Action & Sustainability Internship in Houston, TX, for students enrolled in related Bachelor's or Master's programs. Interns will support LEED documentation, engage in carbon assessments, and collaborate with design teams on sustainability projects. Join Gensler as a Summer Climate Action Intern, focusing on sustainability and innovative design solutions.

Your Role:

Key responsibilities are as follows:
• Support LEED Design and Construction credits for various projects.
• Document and coordinate LEED credits for GBCI review.
• Engage in Embodied Carbon Assessments for projects.
• Participate in client and design team sessions to discuss product impacts.
• Coordinate with design and consultant teams for sustainable product guidance.
• Contribute to daylight modeling, energy analysis, and resource efficiency studies.
• Research regulations and incentives to guide clients.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:
• Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in a related field.
• Completion of the third year of undergraduate or first year of graduate studies.
• Basic awareness of sustainability and resilience concepts.
• Familiarity with performance analysis and green building rating systems.
• Experience with Building Performance Simulation and Life Cycle Analysis programs.
• Proficiency in Rhino, SketchUp, BIM modeling, and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
• Passion for sustainability and strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
