Clean Energy Fund, Deputy Program Manager Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the position of Clean Energy and Sustainability Leader. In this role, you will oversee the development and implementation of clean energy and sustainability programs, working closely with various stakeholders to achieve the City's climate goals. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and track budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and adherence to established budgetary guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise a team of professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful implementation of clean energy and sustainability programs.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies to enhance program effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key partners, including community groups, businesses, and government agencies, to foster collaboration and mutual understanding.
- Oversee the development and implementation of grant applications, reports, and other documentation related to clean energy and sustainability programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental policy, program management, or a related field, preferably in a senior leadership position.
- Proven track record of success in managing and tracking budgets, with expertise in financial analysis and planning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively in public settings.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of climate change issues, equity principles, and community engagement strategies. They should also have experience working with diverse stakeholders, including frontline community members and organizations. Additionally, the selected candidate will have a strong background in environmental policy and program management, with expertise in developing and implementing innovative solutions to address climate change.
