Job Description
Enerven is seeking a Civil Estimator in Adelaide, Australia, to work on bids and tenders for electrical infrastructure projects. The role involves preparing tender documents, providing cost estimates, and developing innovative solutions for projects in the renewable energy sector. About the role
Due to accelerated business growth, we are currently seeking a Civil Estimator with a strong background in renewables, utilities, and/or infrastructure sectors to join our high performing Bid Team.
You will prepare civil estimating tender documents and provide bid coordination services across construction, maintenance and fieldwork activities for a broad range of projects. Types of projects will include high voltage infrastructure, electrical distribution, transmission networks, telecommunications, renewable energy sectors, and emerging markets.
Day to day you will:
• Prepare civil estimating tender documents for significant major external, internal and other strategic projects.
• Provide accurate and timely cost estimating services to Enerven departments for budget planning and construction requirements.
• Identify and develop innovative and alternative solutions to minimise the cost of projects.
• Ensure that inputs sourced from internal/external groups reflect the scope and meet current SA Power Networks/ Enerven and Australian Standards.
• Optimise the mix of components costs i.e. labour, materials, plant and external services to achieve the most economical solution.
• Prepare cost estimates and material lists for variations to projects.
• Assist with the maintenance of ongoing improvements to the master data used in estimating.
About you
You will bring:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a Civil Trade Qualification.
• Experience in Civil Project Engineering and/or Civil estimating roles.
• Experience in analysis, assessment and interpretation of detailed geotechnical reports and subsurface ground conditions.
• Competent in the preparation of detailed project cost estimates.
• Demonstrated experience within renewables, utilities, and infrastructure sectors would be highly regarded.
