Civil / Environmental Project Engineer

Our client, a leading company in the oil and gas industry, is searching for a highly motivated and skilled Civil / Environmental Project Engineer to join their expanding team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in civil and environmental engineering principles and a strong dedication to delivering exceptional results in this dynamic field. This position will involve coordinating with both internal and external teams to support civil engineering design projects, such as well pads, pipeline rights-of-way, public and private roadways, and various other initiatives crucial to the client's operations. The job location is in Morgantown, WV.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement engineering assignments related to the client's design and permitting efforts, as well as remediation tasks and project completion.
• Perform feasibility studies and site assessments for new projects.
• Supervise and assist in detailed engineering designs and permit applications, which includes civil/site drawings, well plats, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Facilitate effective communication between project stakeholders, such as engineering consultants, surveyors, land agents, and property owners.
• Oversee and support construction projects on a day-to-day basis to ensure compliance with design plans and quality standards, while maintaining accurate redline or as-built drawings to document project modifications.
• Coordinate and conduct field inspection services as necessary.
• Monitor budgets and invoices.
• Collaborate within a team environment to deliver exceptional and timely project outcomes, while coordinating with other departments.
• Establish company standards to ensure consistent design across operating areas.
• Provide quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on internal and external documents, including conducting technical reviews.
• Perform any other assigned duties.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulations.
• Work closely with management to ensure that all work products meet quality standards.
• Perform work both in an office environment and in the field, which may require travel to company locations and selected sites, including occasional overnight stays and remote work.
• Operate effectively within a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and delivering results under pressure.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field. Additional disciplines may be considered with relevant experience.
• A minimum of 3+ years of industry experience in the Appalachian Basin within the oil and gas sector, with a strong understanding of the federal, state, and local agency regulations affecting related activities.
• Thorough knowledge of civil engineering principles and proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience in civil/site and right-of-way design and construction is preferred.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Capability to meet deadlines, work independently with minimal supervision, and effectively collaborate as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication abilities, with the capacity to interact professionally with employees, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Ability to perform light work including occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds and other physical activities like kneeling, standing, walking, crouching, and using manual dexterity.
• Comfortable operating standard office and computer equipment.
