Civil Engineering Lead - Solar

Intelletec Energy is seeking a Civil Engineering Lead - Solar in Charlottesville, VA. The role involves leading a team of civil design engineers to establish a renewable energy practice, developing strategies, managing projects, and representing the company at industry events. Candidates should have a PE license, experience in civil engineering and renewable energy, and strong leadership and client relationship skills.
Intelletec Energy are partnered with a successful civil engineering firm to grow their renewable energy division. This role will report directly into the VP of Energy and will be responsible for hiring and leading a team of civil design engineers to develop a renewable energy practice, supported by wider company disciplines and teams.

Responsibilities:
• Become the pioneer of renewable energy engineering for the business, hiring a team, business development and delivering on projects.
• Alongside senior leadership, you will develop a renewable energy strategy for the business which you will then execute with the team you choose to hire.
• Schedule and manage projects to ensure they are being delivered on in a time and cost effective manner.
• Understand the wider businesses initiatives to be able to identify opportunities and cross sell to clients.
• Represent the business at industry events and conferences and use this as a opportunity to meet and attract prospective clients.

You will:
• Have a PE license and a background in civil engineering and renewable energy
• Be excited and motivated to develop a Renewable Energy Practice.
• Enjoy leading and managing a team.
• Have demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and execute on deliverables.
• Already have a good network in the renewable energy space and be on top of upcoming events and conferences that are worth attending.
