Job Description
Rock Creek Conservancy is hiring a Chief Executive Officer for Sustainable Practices in Bethesda, MD. The role involves leading outdoor educational programs, collaborating with community partners, managing budgets, and securing funding. Rock Creek Conservancy seeks an experienced executive leader to head our Outdoor Programs department, responsible for developing and implementing initiatives that promote environmental awareness and appreciation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and lead outdoor educational programs for diverse audiences
• Collaborate with community groups and partner organizations to enhance programming
• Develop and manage budgets for program activities
• Foster relationships with donors and sponsors to secure funding for programs
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a strong passion for environmental education, and experience in program development and management.
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required; a master's degree is desired. Executive level achievement in the fields of philanthropy, conservation, environmental education, advocacy, policy, law, and/or related fields is preferred but not required.
