About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Chief Directorate and contribute to the success of our Regulatory Compliance and Sector Monitoring programmes.
• Manage and provide strategic leadership to the Chief Directorate, promoting compliance with environmental legislation across various sectors.
• Lead teams and programmes that monitor and promote compliance with the National Environmental Management Biodiversity Act (NEMBA) 2004 and other related regulations.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Matric plus an undergraduate qualification in Law, Environmental Law, Natural Science or relevant qualification on NQF7 within the related field as recognized by SAQA.
• A minimum of five years' experience at a senior managerial level within compliance and monitoring sector.
• Successful completion of the Senior Management Pre-entry Programme (Nyukela) as endorsed by the National School of Government (NSG).
• Experience in the field, including knowledge of environmental management systems and processes.
• A valid driver's license.
• Strong leadership and management skills, including communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
