Job Description

Green Infrastructure Partners is seeking a Chemical Technician/Chemical Lab Assistant in Canada to test asphalt cement and related materials for the construction industry. Responsibilities include laboratory testing, analyzing results, maintaining equipment, and documenting quality reports. Applicants should be current students or graduates in relevant fields, with experience in asphalt testing preferred. A valid G class license and computer skills are also required. This role is not remote.
This position involves the testing of asphalt cement, emulsion, and related materials for the construction industry. Responsibilities involve the assistance of laboratory testing and evaluation of bituminous products for use in paving, coatings, and other industrial applications. Review, analyze and compare test results with specifications, tolerances, and targets to ensure product quality. Report test results and any deviations or trends immediately to the appropriate department and / or supervisor(s). Assist with the set-up, calibration, and maintenance of inspection, measuring and testing equipment in the laboratory as well with the general operation of the laboratory.
Documentation and review of quality reports and information
Applicant needs to be a current student or graduate in a chemistry, chemical Engineering, civil engineering technologist, or a related program.
Experience in such areas as asphalt cement, emulsion testing and product development would be an asset.
Valid G class license with good driving record
Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint an asset.
