FutureFuel Chemical Company seeks a Chemical Sales Account Manager for the Energy Sector, responsible for growing the specialty chemical business with multinational customers. The role involves developing new sales opportunities, maintaining customer relations, and providing market analysis. Candidates should have 8+ years of experience in chemical sales, particularly in the energy market, and a relevant science degree. The position is remote with expected travel of 40%-50%.
Chemical Sales Account Manager – Energy Sector

FutureFuel Chemical Company is currently seeking a Chemical Sales Executive with a background in the Energy Sector (gas, oil, battery, etc.) to join our team to support growth of our specialty chemical manufacturing business. This team member will have responsibility for growing our specialty chemical manufacturing business at key multinational customers in addition to developing new opportunities in current performance chemical markets.

Our Sales Executives are expected to understand our chemistries and the capabilities of our manufacturing plant. They work with our development chemists and engineers to secure product opportunities that maximize our manufacturing talents and skills. Our business is different. We market exceptional manufacturing capabilities for toll manufacturing and specialty chemical development. FutureFuel specializes in chlorinations, brominations, esterifications, acylations, alkylations, sulfonations, and reactive distillations. We make great things happen for our customers by responsibly and successfully producing difficult chemistries.

Key Responsibilities include:
• Developing and growing new business at key multinational customers
• Generating new sales opportunities by securing profitable prospect accounts in target markets
• Maintaining positive customer relations
• Developing and implementing annual strategic and key account plans
• Providing account, business intelligence and competitive activity information
• Developing and negotiate commercial agreements
• Providing market analysis and pricing recommendations
• Providing accurate and timely sales forecasts and budgets
• Anticipated travel 40%-50%

Key Qualifications:
• 8+ years of direct field sales or business development experience in chemical product sales with a special focus on the energy market
• BS in a science related field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field of science) or applicable chemical sales expertise
• Disciplined, self-motivated with strong time management skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills
• Fact-based and relationship selling skills
• Financial analysis/management skills
• Strategic understanding of business operations
• Demonstrated ability to gather market intelligence
