Job Description

MACHINE SPECIALTIES LLC is seeking a full-time Chemical Process Technician in Whitsett, NC. The role involves hands-on responsibilities in quality control for plating processes related to aerospace and military parts. Key tasks include monitoring plating operations, troubleshooting issues, maintaining chemical inventory, and ensuring compliance with specifications. The technician will also support continuous improvement initiatives and document processes for efficiency and quality.
We are looking for an experienced Chemical Process Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, hourly position that reports to the Production Manager. This hands-on position has the responsibility for contributing to our on-time delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction. The primary function is to learn and follow required processes for quality control that involve plating for aerospace, military, and other complex parts.

Responsibilities:
• Work with other operators on the line to make certain the tanks are plating to the requirements. This will include processing tests panels, aiding in adjustments, tank dumps and cleaning, etc.
• Keep appropriate managers informed of any problems that can, or will, impact scheduled runs, quality, cost or customer relations.
• Develop and implement test processes and equipment.
• Be forward thinking, preparing for what is next.
• Be knowledgeable of the bake out process for plating.
• Maintain and monitor chemical inventory.
• Recognize and troubleshoot plating problems.
• Document and apply chemical and physical plating methods and procedures that provide optimum efficiency for product plating process.
• Propose ways to improve quality and reduce cost.
• Assist in evaluating chemical suppliers and order quantities when composing purchase orders.
• Ensure there is safe storage of materials and chemicals in appropriate places.
• Maintain business and other records necessary to comply with local, state, and federal requirements.
• Ensuring processes conform to appropriate specifications and comply with NADCAP requirements
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for electroplating
• Support continuous improvement of all plating related processes
• Review safety and environmental issues as required
• Generate reports on plating department performance, quality metrics, and compliance status
